Crystal
Crystal was born and raised in Pomona, California to Mexican parents who taught her the value of lending a helping hand to those in need. She has an older sister and a younger brother, who has ADHD and through her exposure to the struggles her brother faced, Crystal discovered a passion in helping others.
This passion prompted her to join a club in high school called Panther Pals, where she and her peers had parties, events, and sports for students who identify as neurodiverse. She previously had a job as a behavior technician helping younger children diagnosed with autism with their communication and behavioral/social skills. She currently volunteers at a company where she plays sports with children and teens with various developmental diagnoses. Crystal is a third-year student studying Psychology and minoring in Global Health at the University of California, Los Angeles, and wishes to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy.
Crystal joined the Level Up Team in Fall 2023 as a Direct Support Professional and hopes to expand her knowledge and in doing so, help others by teaching them life skills. She is excited to start and is most excited to meet new people and inspire others to reach their fullest potential. In her free time, she likes to go to concerts, hang out with friends, play soccer, and watch movies with her family.
