Eshal
Eshal was raised in Walnut, CA, where she was homeschooled alongside her two siblings. Her younger sister, who was born hard of hearing, faced challenges in communication and education, but her strong passion and determination to learn inspired Eshal deeply. This experience motivated Eshal to engage with her local community to support others facing similar challenges.
At Mt. San Antonio College’s Puzzle Program, Eshal worked with neurodiverse students, helping them navigate higher education and independent living. This transformative experience enriched both her students and herself, as she witnessed their resilience and creativity in overcoming obstacles. This passion fuels her own academic journey as she pursues a career in medicine.
Currently a fourth-year Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics major at UCLA, Eshal is also working toward her emergency medical technician license. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting and knitting, public speaking and debate, exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and spending time with her cats.
In Fall 2024, Eshal joined the Level Up Team as a Direct Support Professional. She looks forward to supporting a diverse population of students in their pursuit of dreams and learning from their unique experiences.
